Built for this market
MTN Mobile Money leads the gateway list for a Ghanaian school rather than sitting under the card options, because that is the rail fees actually arrive on. Ghana runs three terms, and the WASSCE candidate roll exports as a CSV when WAEC registration comes round. Two things we are open about: a double-track SHS running two cohorts on alternating calendars is not modelled as a first-class concept, and the GES Common Core Programme now runs from JHS 1 to SHS 1 while we still change subject sets at the JHS–SHS line, so SHS 1 does not yet read as part of that common-core block. Neither is built.
Pre-Primary through Grade 12 under the Competency-Based Curriculum that replaced 8-4-4 — Lower and Upper Primary, Junior School (Grade 7–9), then Senior School across three pathways: STEM, Social Sciences, and Arts & Sports Science. Junior school carries the nine rationalised learning areas KICD settled on, all compulsory, with pathway choice held back to Grade 10.

Marks report as CBC achievement levels — Exceeding, Meeting, Approaching and Below Expectation, on KNEC’s published bands — not the letter grades of the system CBC replaced. Junior school carries the nine rationalised learning areas rather than the longer list from the original design, and because one school covers PP1 to Grade 9, a primary hosting junior school is one school here, not two. M-Pesa leads the payment list. What is not built yet: we do not capture the UPI a KEMIS record needs, so a school still keys enrolment into KEMIS itself.
The wider region is next
Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana and Zambia run curricula close to CAPS — each one gets its own curriculum mapping, its own regulator export and its own pricing, authored for that market, before we call it live. We would rather say “not yet” than sell a school a pack with another country’s rules inside it. That is why Ghana and Kenya are marked as still in validation above rather than quietly counted as coverage: the packs run, and we will tell you exactly which parts have been checked against a curriculum document and which have not.
Data residency
Learner, medical and financial records are stored in the European Union today, and South African hosting is planned — we would rather tell you where the data actually is than where we intend it to be. Every country profile carries its own residency requirement, currency, timezone and gateway list, so adding a country is data rather than a rewrite.

Roughly a third of the schools we build for have unreliable connectivity. That shaped the architecture, not just the marketing.
Works offline
The daily register and timetable are cached on the device. A teacher marks attendance with no signal at all, and it syncs when the connection returns.
Where your records live
Learner, medical and financial records are hosted in the European Union, under a regime recognised as offering equivalent safeguards, and processed under each country’s own data-protection law — POPIA (South Africa), the NDPA (Nigeria), the Data Protection Act (Ghana and Kenya) — with a data processing agreement per school. South African hosting is planned; we will say so here when it is done, not before.
